Condition for the "International Festival" of non commercial Films

GOLDEN DIANA

An organisation team of the “Film Club Völkermarkt” is organizing under the patronage of the VÖFA*) and the UNICA**) every year an international film contest (inclusive a minute cup – competitive) for non-commercial filmmakers. Subject matter can be chosen freely.

Periode of contest:

The festival is always held during the last week of August. It starts on Monday and ends on Friday. The correct hours you will find on our homepage, which you can reach under following internet addresses:

Deadline is the 01st. of August, i.e.  three weeks before start of the festival. Films arriving us after deadline can not be accepted for this festival any more. Please send in the registration form and films separately and in time.

3.)

Only films by amateurs (format “VIDEO VHS” , “SUPER VHS” and "Mini-DV" [PAL-System]) with or without sound, black and white or colour will be accepted. Producers are permitted to submit two films.

The film should not be longer than 20 minutes. (Minute – cup 1 minute).

If there is a film longer than 20 minutes the preliminary jury will decide about forwarding to the main contest.

4.)

The entries will be evaluated by a preliminary jury. After passing this preliminary judgment, the films will be nominated for the single prizes.

5.)

The films, which were sent to the main contest will be shown during the festival week according to the different categories and evaluated by an official jury, at a place still to be specified. Films marked with *) only will be projected and classified if author is present.

6.)

7.)

The "closing ceremony" will take place on Friday of the festival week at 08:00 p.m. in the location as desribed before.

 8.)

A contribution of EUR 15,00 or US-$ 20,00 has to be remitted together with the entry and made out to the order of the ORGA-Committee.

9a.)

For customs reasons films sent from abroad shall have the following specification:

“NONPROFESSIONAL, EXPOSED FILM – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE”.

10.)

The organizers assure the most careful treatment of the films, but decline any responsibility for damage or loss. All participants will receive a detailed information brochure on the various dates of presentation and a deed.

11.)

In case of films in foreign languages, a short summary of the contents in German or English is requested.

12.)

With the registration the participant acknowledges the conditions of the contest and the producers declare to have all rights of the video reserved. They have the full responsibility in the case of a copyright infringement.

13.)

The films will be returned to the producers two weeks after the end of the contest.
